In 2025, Quang Ninh province aims to welcome 21.2 million visitors, including 4.5 million international visitors, with total revenue from tourism activities expected to be about 50,000 billion VND.
By the end of October 2025, Quang Ninh province has welcomed 18.43 million visitors and is "running the water" in the fourth quarter to complete the target.
To increase the attraction of the destination, Quang Ninh has implemented many large-scale cultural and sports events to stimulate tourism.
On the morning of November 16, at Yen Tu Relic and Scenic Landscape Area, the Yen Tu Heritage Marathon 2025 took place vibrantly with the participation of more than 3,000 domestic and international athletes.
The race has distances of 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km, running through spiritual and scenic spots such as the 5th Regiment Temple, Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen Monastery, Cam Thuc Pagoda and Yen Trung Lake.
Yen Tu Heritage Marathon 2025 with the theme "Touching the heritage area" is the second international grassroots tournament held in Yen Tu.
This is the first time Yen Tu Ward People's Committee has coordinated with the Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association and Vietnam Post Office Service Company to organize.
The event aims to celebrate major anniversaries at the end of the year, especially the event of receiving the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Recognition Certificate for the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son - Kiep Bac historical relic complex, associated with the 717th Anniversary of the Lunar New Year. Through that, it contributes to stimulating and strongly attracting domestic and international tourists to Yen Tu ward and Yen Tu world cultural heritage in the fall - winter this year.
Other experiential tourism products such as walking through the forest, climbing Cao Xiem mountain, Dinosaur's back in Luc Hon commune are being maintained after the opening of "Golden Season Festival 2025" (October 25, 2025) until the end of November 2025.
Mr. Phon Van Khien - a local mountain climbing guide - said: "In addition to farming work, on weekends, I take tourists to Cao Xiem peak, passing through salmon forest, cinnamon forest, pine forest and 3 Dao villages, including Cao Thang village, Ngan Meo Duoi and Ngan Meo village above - where I live. Coming to Cao Xiem communal house, visitors will be able to watch the sunset, set up a overnight tent to welcome the sunrise on the mountain the next morning".
From November to the end of 2025, Quang Ninh will continue to organize many other attractive sports events such as: Ha Long Bay Heritage International Marathon 2025 (Haalong Bay Heritage Marathon) from November 21 to 23, with a running route along the shore of Ha Long Bay.
Quang Ninh Province Ethnic Culture and Sports Festival, including traditional sports such as tug of war, stick pushing, cross-court shooting, etc.
The Dragon Boat Racing Festival "Dragon Bay Overcomes Waves" is scheduled to take place in Ha Long Bay in November, creating a vibrant atmosphere at sea.
The exploitation of sports activities associated with tourism is opening up new tourism products, increasing the attractiveness of Quang Ninh, contributing to the completion of tourism development goals in 2025.
