The English team is strong
The England team started with a likely squad of 11 players who will start at the 2018 VCK World Cup. The home advantage helped England enter the match with confidence and they only needed 7 minutes to open the score. From Kieran Trippier's right wing free kick, center back Gary Cahill joined the attack and jumped high to head the ball, defeating Francis Uzoho.
The opportunity to dig deep into the continuous gap came to England afterwards but John Stones, Raheem Sterling, Ashley Young and Jesse Lingard all ignored it. It was not until the 39th minute that Harry Kane broke the deadlock with a shot from the edge of the penalty area that became a goal after a good free-kick combination with Sterling.
The changes during the break have completely transformed Nigeria. In the 48th minute, in a sharp combination, Ighalo finished quite well in the penalty area, the ball hit the post and bounced back, immediately Alex Iwobi rushed in to score to reduce the score to 1-2.
Portugal draws disappointingly without Ronaldo
Although it was only a friendly match preparing for the 2018 World Cup, coach Roberto Martinez still put on the field the most quintessential of the Belgian national team at the moment. Meanwhile, EURO 2016 champion Portugal will play without leader Cristiano Ronaldo.
Without the services of Cristiano Ronaldo, a player given extra time off after the Champions League final, Portugal experimented with the option of Goncalo Guedes playing as a center forward. This is not a bad option as the 21-year-old star has had many shots towards goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
Portugal also created a number of other dangerous situations thanks to the trio supporting Guedes including Gelson, Bernardo Silva and Joao Mario. The clearest chance belongs to Silva, who had a breakthrough from the right wing and then curled the left foot, causing the ball to miss the post.
Belgium also sent a series of key players onto the field, but did not cause much trouble for the goalkeeper's goal. The most dangerous situation that the Reds created was Romelu Lukaku's missed tap-in after a cross from the right wing.
Playing an open attack, both teams could not score, thereby the match ended in a 0-0 draw.
