On the side of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, there were Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung and leaders of the Ministry through various periods, representatives of affiliated units, coaches, and typical athletes.
At the ceremony, on behalf of Party and State leaders, General Secretary To Lam awarded the First-class Labor Medal to the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports to recognize the outstanding contributions of the sector in the 2024-2025 period in building institutions, developing expertise and promoting the physical education and sports movement throughout the country.

Also at the ceremony, on behalf of the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh awarded Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to Director of the Vietnam Sports Administration Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet and Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Administration Nguyen Hong Minh for outstanding achievements in management and administration.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that from the early days of the founding of the country, the Party and President Ho Chi Minh clearly defined the role of physical education and sports for the development of the nation, considering health training as the responsibility of each citizen.
Over 80 years of formation and development since March 27, 1946, Vietnam's Physical Education and Sports sector has continuously grown stronger, associated with historical periods of the country.

According to Minister Nguyen Van Hung, after 80 years, Vietnamese sports not only achieved many professional achievements but also contributed to improving the physical and spiritual life of the people, and at the same time created much room to develop the service economy - sports economy, contributing to the overall achievements in socio-economic development.
In the coming time, the sports sector will continue to improve institutions, improve management efficiency, promote international cooperation, apply science and technology and develop the sports market, towards building a modern and sustainable sports ecosystem.
For the Vietnamese Sports and Physical Training industry, the anniversary is an important milestone, affirming the 80-year development journey of the industry, and at the same time opening up new expectations in enhancing the stature and physical strength of Vietnamese people and the national sports position in the coming period.
