The Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup 2025 volleyball tournament will take place from March 4-9, at Ninh Binh Provincial Gymnasium. This is an annual tournament, kicking off the new season of Vietnamese volleyball, so it promises to bring a vibrant atmosphere and top-notch matches.
The Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup has the participation of 12 teams, including women's clubs including VTV Binh Dien Long An, Thanh Hoa, Vietinbank (Group A), LPB Ninh Binh, Thai Binh and the Information Corps (Group B).
In addition to the participation of players such as Thanh Thuy, Bich Tuyen, Nguyen Thi Trinh, Lam Oanh... and the newly arrived foreign players, the tournament in Ninh Binh is also noticed by young faces of the U21 age group.
The Thai Binh women's team is the club with the most young players in the U21 group. According to coach Tran Van Giap, his team did not increase domestic players in other teams but created conditions for the young generation. Some names such as Yen Nhi (2005), Tra My, Phuong Anh, Minh Chau, Kim Huyen (2007), Quynh Nhu (2009) will definitely be facilitated in the upcoming tournament.
Most notably, the players who played for the U20 Vietnam women's volleyball team competing in the 2024 Asian tournament and won a place in the 2025 World Cup will also participate in the upcoming Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup.
The reigning champion LPB Ninh Binh will have the reinforcement of Bui Thi Anh Thao (main striker) and Vi Thi Yen Nhi (second captain) from the Hanoi team.
One of the pillars of the U20 team is the main striker Dang Thi Hong. She joined the Vietinbank women's team with a loan deal from Thai Nguyen club. With a similar playing style to her senior Bich Tuyen (LPB Ninh Binh), Dang Thi Hong is expected to shine in this year's season under the leadership of coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet.
Captain Van Ha has joined the Thanh Hoa women's team after being loaned by the home club Kinh Bac Bac Ninh. The female player born in 2005 is one of the outstanding young players in the setter position of Vietnamese women's volleyball.
With the Information Corps, coach Pham Van Long and the team's leadership have brought the main striker Pham Quynh Huong to the first-line squad. Most likely, the 2008-born hitter will be on the experimental field with her seniors in the Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup 2025 to prepare for the 2025 national championship.
In 2025, the Vietnam U21 women's volleyball team will participate in the World Championship. The fact that players who have been in the youth team and have played a lot in top-quality domestic tournaments will help them compete and accumulate expertise.
