Taking place from June 23 to July 7 in Birmingham City ( Alabama, USA), the 2025 World Police and Fire Sports Festival brings together thousands of athletes from more than 70 countries. This is the second time the Vietnam People's Public Security delegation has attended this congress.
The Vietnam People's Public Security delegation competed in many events from high-performance sports to fire prevention and fighting and rescue (PCCC & CHCN) with thorough preparation and clear strategy.
The delegation had an unexpected competition with impressive achievements when winning 15 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 6 bronze medals, bringing the total number of medals to 25.
Some outstanding achievements include Major Hoang Linh Chi winning 4 gold medals in swimming events; shooter Trinh Thu Vinh - who won an Olympic spot - contributed 2 gold medals, including 1 individual and 1 team member in shooting; Lieutenant Ngan Ngoc Nghia won a double gold medal in the 100m and 200m athletics distances; Karate also marked with 3 gold medals and 1 bronze medal.

Notably, the Vietnam Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Team took 4th place for the first time, winning 2 more silver medals. This is a big step forward in the content group that requires in-depth skills and modern equipment.
Evaluating this congress, Colonel Nguyen Thi Thuy Thanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Political Affairs (Ministry of Public Security) affirmed: "This is an impressive result, clearly demonstrating the prestige, bravery and increasingly high professionalism of the Vietnam People's Public Security Sports in the international arena".
The 2025 World Police and Fire Fighting Sports Festival has ended, but the impressions left by the CAND Sports Team are still spreading strongly.
