On the afternoon of April 24, a signing ceremony of cooperation between the Vietnam People's Police Sports Association (CAND) and T&T Group took place in Hanoi. Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Assistant Member of the Politburo, Minister of Public Security, Vice Chairman of the Association chaired the ceremony.
The event marks the next step in the strategy of mobilizing social resources for sports development in the People's Police force.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Do Vinh Quang - Vice Chairman of T&T Group said: "We deeply realize that CAND sports not only contribute to improving the health and spiritual life of officers and soldiers, but also foster will, discipline, bravery and spread the beautiful image of police officers in the hearts of the people.
Within the framework of this cooperation, we clearly define the goal of accompanying the Association in developing the sports movement, improving the quality of training, coaching, and competition; thereby contributing to raising the level of achievements of CAND sports, towards the ability to compete fairly in international arenas, making increasingly greater contributions to the overall achievements of Vietnamese sports".
According to Mr. Quang, the practical implementation in the past time, especially through the CAND - T&T Table Tennis Club model, has clearly shown the effectiveness of the coordination model between the Police force and businesses. With the right direction and methodical approach, sports can completely develop in a professional, effective and sustainable direction.
Immediately after the signing ceremony, the focal units of the two sides will urgently complete the appendices, procedures and detailed implementation plans; clearly define tasks, progress and coordination mechanisms; prioritize early deployment of contents to support regular activities, training and key sports tasks in 2026.
I believe that, with the consensus of both sides and the concern and direction of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, today's agreement will open a new, practical, and effective cooperation journey, making positive contributions to the development of CAND sports and the community," Vice Chairman Do Vinh Quang emphasized.
The agreement is built on the basis of legal regulations and practical cooperation needs, including many specific contents. The focus is T&T Group's companionship, financial and resource support for the Association's major activities in 2026, from tournament organization to training, coaching and professional improvement for athletes.
In the plan, the two sides will coordinate to implement many important tasks such as supporting the People's Police Sports Delegation to participate in international events, including the Asian Games in Japan and the Asia-Oceania Regional Police and Rescue Games in Australia.
Besides, there are in-depth training programs for the team, typically the training plan for the CAND - T&T table tennis club in China.
In fact, the cooperation model between the two sides since 2024 has brought specific results. In table tennis, the CAND - T&T team continuously improved their performance when winning 2 gold medals at the 2024 national championship; 3 gold medals in the 2025 season and leading the overall team.
In the youth system, the team maintained the No. 1 position in the national youth and children's tournaments for two consecutive years.
In addition to table tennis, the companionship of T&T Group also contributes to the successful organization of foreign-oriented tournaments, and at the same time supports the CAND sports delegation to win a total of 25 medals at the World Police and Firefighting Games, including 15 gold medals.
