The Organizing Committee of the Nhan Dan Newspaper National Table Tennis Championship 2026 has just announced that according to the direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Organizing Committee of the X-2026 National Sports Games and the consensus of the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, Nhan Dan Newspaper, Hai Phong City, Vietnam Sports Administration, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports agreed that this year's competition program will be calculated based on the achievements of the X-2026 National Sports Games.
The organizers of the Nhan Dan Newspaper National Table Tennis Championship 2026 expect the events to be held in Hai Phong from August 8 to August 16.
Thus, the athletes competing in this year's National Table Tennis Championship will have results belonging to the X-2026 National Sports Games.
7 events are organized: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles, men's team, women's team.
According to the framework regulations of the X-2026 National Sports Games that have been issued, table tennis has 7 events and will be held at Ho Xuan Huong Sports Complex (HCMC) in December.
However, with the 2026 Nhan Dan Newspaper National Table Tennis Championship being counted as the achievement of this year's National Sports Festival, the time and location are changed to August.
Table tennis at the IX-2022 National Sports Festival once took place at Hai Duong Gymnasium (Hai Phong) with the participation of 13 units.
This year, the Organizing Committee of Table Tennis at the X-2026 National Sports Games will have professional registration regulations based on the Framework Regulations issued by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
