According to Lao Dong's investigation, main attacker Duong Van Tien is about to sign a contract to become a player for the Ho Chi Minh City Police men's volleyball team to participate in the 2026 National Championship. Previously, Duong Van Tien played for Sanest Khanh Hoa team.
Duong Van Tien is a national player who participated in SEA Games 30, 31, 32 and 33. At the recent SEA Games 33, this main attacker regularly played in the main squad of the Vietnamese men's volleyball team. However, the team only ranked 4th overall.
The Ho Chi Minh City Police men's team parted ways with many players at the end of December last year. However, this team has signed official contracts with opponents Nguyen Van Quoc Duy and Duong Van Tien to strengthen the attacking position group in the squad.
Last year, the Ho Chi Minh City Police team won a bronze medal at the 2025 National Championship. This year, the team aims to win a high position at the 2026 National Championship. Round 1 of the tournament will be held in Dong Anh (Hanoi) in April 2026, and round 2 will take place in the men's category at the Ho Chi Minh City Police team's stadium in October 2026.
