Round 1 of the 2026 National Club Volleyball Championship will kick off on April 6th in Dong Anh (Hanoi). Hoa Chat Duc Giang women's team will be the host of round 1.
The team's coaching staff said they will increase 2 foreign players to participate in round 1 of the 2026 National Club Championship, including 1 main attacker and 1 setter, both from Thailand.
Second-passer Tichaya Boonlert is a familiar face of the Duc Giang Chemicals team for many years. Currently, this player is practicing professionally in Dong Anh (Hanoi) to prepare for competition.
The 2nd foreign player of the Duc Giang Chemicals team will come to Vietnam in early April. However, the team's coaching staff will officially announce this foreign player when the player is present in Vietnam.
Up to this point, Hoa Chat Duc Giang and Binh Chung Thong Tin teams are the teams that have determined to increase 2 foreign players to participate in the women's round 1 of the 2026 National Club Championship.
Last year, the Duc Giang Chemicals team had 2 foreign players in the first round of the 2025 National Championship, Tichaya Boonlert (Thailand), Sharon Chepchumba Kiprono (Kenya), and in the second round, 2 foreign players were registered (Tichaya Boonlert, Kuttika Kaewpin, all Thai nationals).
According to Lao Dong's investigation, the Hung Yen women's team will not hire additional foreign players to compete in round 1 of this year's tournament. The team will focus on using young players to increase experience and improve professional qualifications.
