On August 10, the Office of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee confirmed that the locality has assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and complete the registration procedures, ensuring eligibility for the Khanh Hoa team to participate in the National First Division Football Tournament for the 2025 - 2026 season.
At the same time, mobilize more businesses and potential organizations to support and sponsor the football team; study sustainable solutions to maintain operations in the following years, report to the Provincial People's Committee in the fourth quarter of 2025.
Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee also requested Khanh Hoa Club to strive to compete and achieve the best results.
In addition, the locality continues to call on Khanh Viet Corporation and Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest State-owned One Member Co., Ltd. to continue to accompany, with a support level not lower than last season.
Previously, Khanh Viet Corporation issued a document terminating the sponsorship, citing the conclusion of the State Audit that the establishment of Khanh Hoa Club (dependent accounting unit) was not in accordance with the orientation of restructuring state-owned enterprises in the period of 2021 - 2025.
In addition, this also violates the provisions of the 2020 Enterprise Law and the Professional Football Regulations.
Since its establishment (September 2024), the club has continuously suffered losses (Q4/2024 lost more than 4.2 billion VND; Q1/2025 lost more than 3.5 billion VND).
Despite financial difficulties, unpaid wages and transfer fees, the Khatoco Khanh Hoa team still competed in the First Division in the 2024 - 2025 season, finishing in 5th place with 21 points after 20 matches.
