On August 4, Da Nang club officially announced the successful recruitment of young midfielder Vadim Nguyen - a player with two blood lines from Vietnam and Russia, who grew up from the FK Rostov training center (Russia).
This is one of the most notable contracts of the Han River team in the process of rebuilding forces to prepare for the 2025-2026 V.League season.
Vadim Nguyen was born in 2005, with a Vietnamese father and a Russian mother. With a height of 1m75, this player can play well in both central midfield and wing midfield positions thanks to his technical foundation and modern tactical thinking practiced in the European football environment. He once left an impression at the Thien Long Cup friendly tournament and quickly caught the attention of the Da Nang coaching staff.
Notably, Vadim has become a Vietnamese citizen and is eligible to play as a domestic player. Previously, he was named by coach Philippe Troussier in the preliminary list of 50 players preparing for the 2024 U23 Asian Cup finals. However, due to the match schedule with U19 FK Rostov in Russia, Vadim could not participate in the training session with U23 Vietnam.
The recruitment of Vadim Nguyen marks a new step for Da Nang in the strategy of taking advantage of overseas Vietnamese players, after a season without using any of these factors. The team's leadership affirmed that they will give opportunities to overseas Vietnamese players with sufficient professional capacity, and Vadim is the first person to be trusted.
If he quickly adapts to the domestic professional football environment, Vadim Nguyen not only promises to become a quality addition to Da Nang but can also open up opportunities to participate in national team levels in the future.
In addition to Vadim Nguyen, Da Nang club also announced 3 foreign players including Gustavo, Kim Dong-su and Milan Makaric.
