Quang Nam team denies rumors of changing the name and transferring V.League quotas

Quang Nam Club has denied rumors that this team will change its name, change the location of operations or transfer the playing space in the V.League to another unit.

Recently, social networks and some information channels have spread rumors that Quang Nam club will move its "headquarters" to Ho Chi Minh City or the North, and consider changing the name and transferring the V.League playing position. However, the team's leaders quickly denied it.

"This information is completely unfounded. Currently, Quang Nam club is still operating normally, focusing on preparing for the new season. We have no plans to change our name or relocate our location," the club representative affirmed.

Part of the reason for the rumor's spread was that the team's official fanpage was suddenly inaccessible for nearly a day. Some fans are concerned that this is a sign that the club is quietly dissolving or changing the structure. However, the team explained that the incident was due to a technical error and the page had been restored after less than 24 hours.

"We hope that fans will not spread unverified information. The club is committed to continuing to update accurate information and hopes to continue to receive support from the audience", the club's announcement stated.

After winning the V.League 2017, Quang Nam club has gone through many changes. The team was relegated in 2020 but has returned to the V.League in recent seasons. However, they still have to try to stay in the league for two consecutive seasons.

In the final round of the 2024-2025 season, Quang Nam won a valuable point after a dramatic 3-3 draw against Hoang Anh Gia Lai. This result helped them finish in 12th place, enough to continue to participate in the V.League next season.
