In the first phase of the 2024 National Volleyball Championship, Vietinbank Club ranked only 6th on the rankings. The bank team got 6 points after 4 matches and this is not a positive result.
Therefore, Vietinbank has been carefully prepared in the past time to aim for phase 2. They are led by coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet - also the captain of the national women's team. However, Mr. Kiet still needs more time to help Vietinbank stabilize in terms of expertise and performance.
In terms of personnel, this team almost retains the old framework with some prominent faces such as Nguyen Thu Hoai, Tran Thi Phuong, Nguyen Thi Ninh Anh, Dinh Thi Tra Giang, Hoang Thi Phuong Anh...
Notably, Vietinbank just experienced a headache when foreign player Katarina Pilepic suddenly got injured before the tournament started. Therefore, they had to quickly replace the foreign player, welcoming the return of Bogdana Anisova - who played in the 2023 season.
