According to decision No. 545/QD-LDBDVN issued on June 2, the VFF Licensing Board accepted the complaint of Thanh Hoa club, and at the same time approved the addition of information to license the Thanh team to participate in professional tournaments next season.
Previously, on May 23, the VFF Licensing Board had revoked Thanh Hoa's V.League participation license due to not meeting the F.04 financial criteria related to not having overdue payables for employees, tax authorities and social organizations.
By May 28, Thanh Hoa club sent a complaint with documents proving that it had completed financial obligations, including full payment of salaries to employees until December 31, 2025.
After reviewing the supplementary dossier, VFF confirmed that the team no longer has overdue debts to employees, tax authorities and social organizations, thereby deciding to license the club to participate in V.League 2026-2027.
Although licensed again, Thanh Hoa was still maintained with a warning penalty for not completing the dossier on time as initially stipulated in the licensing process.
In the 2025-2026 season, the Thanh Hoa team experienced many changes in force when they parted ways with a series of key players in the middle of the season. However, Thanh Hoa club still completed the relegation target one round early.
Being licensed to participate in the V.League next season is considered a basis for the team to continue to seek investment sources and prepare forces for the new season. According to the current orientation, Thanh Hoa's goal in the 2026-2027 season is still to ensure a relegation spot.
