The Vietnamese men's volleyball team has significantly risen in the FIVB world rankings.
Right after the final match of leg 2 of the SEA V.Cup 2026 Tournament in Indonesia on the evening of July 26, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team was added 2.55 points in accumulated results to rise to 58th place in the world.
The result was obtained when we defeated the Thai men's team with a score of 3-2 in the final match of this tournament.
Due to losing the match to Vietnam, the Thai men's volleyball team was deducted 2.55 points and relegated to 58th place in the world.
Thus, after 2 legs of the SEA V.Cup 2026 Tournament, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team still ensures its ranking above the Thai men's team in the FIVB world rankings.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian men's team is still the leading volleyball team in Southeast Asia. Currently, the team is ranked 44th in the world.
Although they are the champions of the first leg of the SEA V.Cup 2026, currently the Cambodian men's volleyball team is only ranked 129th in the world.
The results of the first leg of the SEA V.Cup 2026 tournament were not counted on the FIVB rankings. Therefore, the Cambodian team has not improved their position.
Also in Southeast Asia, the Philippines men's team is ranked 98th in the world while the Myanmar team is ranked 91st.
According to the announcement, the champion team of each stage of the SEA V.Cup 2026 Tournament will be awarded a ticket to participate in the AVC Cup 2027.
