On November 30, 6 members of the Vietnam Bencing Team went to Korea for training to continue preparing professionally for the 33rd SEA Games.
The coaching staff said that the training members include Ngo Thi Huong, Phung Thi Khanh Linh, Pham Thi Thu Hoai, Le Van Bang, Nguyen Xuan Loi and Nguyen Van Quyet. This is a key group of athletes in the shearing and cutting event, awarded a place to participate in the 33rd SEA Games.
Among these, athletes Nguyen Xuan Loi and Nguyen Van Quyet are experienced and have participated in many previous SEA Games.
The training program for slash-and-burn players lasts 10 days. At the end of the training session, the athletes will return to Vietnam and then go to Thailand to participate in the 33rd SEA Games.
The sword fighting of the 33rd SEA Games is scheduled to start on December 16. Therefore, the players have enough time to train to be ready to compete in Thailand.
2 years ago, the Vietnamese Wrestling Team won 4 gold medals at the 33rd SEA Games. In particular, the swordplayer brought home 2 gold medals in the men's and women's team events.
The goal of the Vietnamese Wrestling Team towards the 33rd SEA Games is to protect the gold medals they had at the 32nd SEA Games. According to the registration, the boxing team has 24 athletes participating in the 33rd SEA Games.
