The coaching staff of the Vietnam Golf Team has chosen the official squad to participate in the 33rd SEA Games. The members are named Nguyen Trong Hoang, Nguyen Anh Minh, Ho Anh Huy, Nguyen Tuan Anh, Huang Akira Long Dinh (male) and Le Chuc An, Nguyen Viet Gia Han, Le Nguyen Minh Anh (female).
Snooker Huang Akira Long Dinh went to Thailand to participate in the 33rd SEA Games using socialized funds from the Vietnam Golf Association.
Le Khanh Hung is the individual champion of the 32nd SEA Games men's golf in Cambodia in 2023. However, the player could not continue competing in the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand. Therefore, this golfer has not been able to defend his historic gold medal.
The selection of the list of athletes participating in the 33rd SEA Games is decided by the Coaching Board according to the criteria of expertise and competition achievements.
The golf sport of the 33rd SEA Games will organize 4 events: men's individual, women's individual, men's team, women's team. The Vietnamese golf team has won 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal at the 32nd SEA Games, so they continue to aim to defend the gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games.
In the men's squad, Vietnamese golfers are all in stable form. Nguyen Trong Hoang just won the No. 1 position at the Tienphong Golf 2025 tournament while Nguyen Tuan Anh won the 2025 national championship and the silver medal at the 2025 Asian Youth Sports Festival. Athlete Nguyen Anh Minh, who is studying in the US, will travel directly to Thailand to compete in the 33rd SEA Games.
