Late on August 22, right after the final whistle at Rajamangala stadium sounded, closing the 2-0 victory of the Vietnamese team against Thailand in the first leg of the ASEAN Cup final, many central streets of Ho Chi Minh City immediately turned red in the joyful atmosphere.
In the Ben Thanh market area, crowds from many directions flocked, carrying national flags, banners and non-stop cheers. On Le Loi and Pasteur streets, long lines of motorbikes lined up, red flags with yellow stars flying in the sound of car horns, drums and shouts "Vietnam wins".


Many people wearing red shirts, carrying large and small flags, together with friends and relatives joined the crowd to "storm". The atmosphere became more and more exciting towards late night when the 2-0 victory over Thailand brought excitement to fans.


From Ben Thanh market area to Le Loi and Pasteur streets, groups of fans continuously moved, creating a "sea of people" red in the city center. Handshakes, cheers and radiant smiles appeared everywhere.




The victory at Rajamangala stadium not only helped the Vietnamese team create an advantage before the second leg final, but also rekindled a sleepless night for Ho Chi Minh City fans.
