4 years ago, the volleyball (indoor) event of the IX-2022 National Sports Games attracted 10 men's and 10 women's teams to participate. At the end of the Games, the Army Men's Team and the Army Women's Team won Gold Medals.
After 4 years, units across the country continue to prepare forces to compete in volleyball (indoor) at the X-2026 National Sports Festival. "The nature of the national volleyball tournament and the National Sports Festival are both very important from expertise to achievements. Therefore, we understand that all participating teams have prepared their forces for themselves. The force of players participating in the 2026 National Club Championship will also be the competitors at the X-2026 National Sports Festival," said a representative of the Professional Committee of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation.
The framework regulations of the X-2026 National Sports Games issued by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism specifically stated: "Sportsmen are entitled to register to compete for localities and sectors when they meet one of the following conditions: Having a contract to use athletes or a legal athlete transfer contract signed before January 1, 2026 (1 notarized copy of this Contract must be sent together with the Official Registration to the Organizing Committee of the Games). For sports for which the National Sports Federation or Sports Association has issued a Transfer Regulation, it shall be implemented according to the Athlete Transfer Regulation; Having a certificate of being an athlete of the sector issued by the Military Training - School Department, General Staff Department, Ministry of National Defense or the Political Work Department, Ministry of Public Security".
Therefore, to stabilize the force and ensure compliance with regulations, many men's and women's teams have completed player transfers (according to their needs) right before January 2026. Players (already transferred) registered in the list for the 2026 National Club Championship all ensure legitimate competition for the new team.
Players must be highly focused.
The 2026 National Club Volleyball Championship will take place in round 1 (April) and round 2 (October). Round 1 of the tournament will host 56 matches (men's, women's). In round 2, the number of matches in the men's category is 36 and the women's category is also similar. After the tournament closes, the (indoor) volleyball event of the X-2026 National Sports Games will take place in Ho Chi Minh City in December.

The two competition programs (2026 National Club Championship, X-2026 National Sports Games) are considered close to each other. Therefore, each player must have high concentration to complete the set competition tasks.
Preliminarily, each team in the National Club Championship will play 14 group stage matches. After that, the teams will enter the final round (for the 4 teams with the best results) and the relegation round (4 teams with the worst results).
The round-robin format in the group stage of the national league for round 1 and round 2 to create more opportunities for players to play. Teams will be given the most fair playing field in terms of expertise.
