The tournament took place at Vietpadel Country Club (HCMC) organized by the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF) in coordination with Vietravel Joint Stock Company (Vietravel).
The tournament took place over two days, December 20 - 21, gathering nearly 100 athletes, of which 90% were international athletes from many countries such as France, Spain, Denmark, Brazil, Colombia, South Africa... The event marked an important turning point of the Vietnam Padel movement on the international sports map.
Padel Vietnam Open - Vietravel Cup 2025 is organized with 5 competitions according to the rules of the International Padel Federation (FIP - International Padel Federation) including: Men's Open doubles, men's - women's Open doubles, women's Open doubles, men's amateur doubles, men's - women's amateur doubles. The total prize value of the tournament is up to 68 million VND along with many other valuable gifts.
The tournament also recognized the participation of professional tennis players, notably Tran Tien Thinh (Army) - the number 2 seed of the tournament, along with the participation of a number of young tennis players.
Padel is officially entered into the 2026 ASIAD. Organizing the tournament aims to create a healthy competitive playground, improve professional qualifications, while promoting the spread and connection of the padel-loving community domestically and internationally.
Through the tournament, VTF aims to expand the development of the Padel movement nationwide, moving towards building an annual competition system and integrating into the regional tournament series in the near future, said Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Vice President and General Secretary of VTF.
Padel is growing strongly in many countries in the region such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand or the Philippines. Grasping the general trend of the world, the Organizing Committee hopes to widely spread Padel in Vietnam, aiming to compete with neighboring countries and go further in continental competitions.
The Padel Vietnam Open - Vietravel Cup 2025 is a historic milestone when for the first time the padel sport is held under the national competition system in Vietnam. The event opens up opportunities for exchanges, access to international sports standards and is a foundation for spreading the Padel movement across the country in the coming time.
