Entering its seventh season, UpRace continues to choose the message of UpRace 2023 - "The Journey of Happiness” as the overarching message for the project, focusing on the experience and emotions of participants, emphasizing the value of perseverance rather than just focusing on the final results.
This year, the event has the support of 3 social organizations, including: Vừ A Dính Scholarship Fund, Association for the Support of Disabled and Orphaned Vietnamese (ASVDO) and Center for Supporting Child Development and Newborn Care in Vietnam (Newborn Vietnam).
This year is the first time that the Center for Supporting Child Development and Newborn Care in Vietnam (Newborn Vietnam), formerly known as Newborn Vietnam, has participated in the UpRace project.
The support source of UpRace is expected to provide professional resuscitation knowledge training for 120 Vietnamese medical lecturers and staff, helping to bring opportunities for survival to 800,000 newborns.
With the Vừ A Dính Scholarship Fund, this is the second consecutive year that the fund has partnered with UpRace after a highly successful first year of collaboration. The fund's resources this year will continue to be used to realize the dream of 8,000 ethnic minority and island students and students to attend school in the 2024-2025 academic year, achieving the achievement of celebrating the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Vừ A Dính Scholarship Fund and 10 years of operation of the "For Hoang Sa - Truong Sa dear" club.
ASVHO hopes that the contribution of UpRace 2024 will create conditions for the Association to be able to present 500 wheelchairs, as well as combine financial and livelihood support with a support level of 15 million VND/month for 80 people with disabilities, helping them to create sustainable income and stabilize their lives.
The "offline" running event "UpRace Day 2024" will be held in HCMC on October 13 with the largest scale to date. It is expected that 4,000 people will participate in 3 distances: 5km, 10km, and 21km.
In addition, the UpRace application this year will have many improvements in stability, bringing a smooth experience to participants. The integration of AI will continue to be used to detect abnormal activities, set up achievement milestones using specialized equipment... to increase the accuracy of evaluating the run, contributing to promoting fair, civilized, and sportsmanship.
UpRace is an annual online running project for the community initiated and technically sponsored by VNG since 2018. Corresponding to each km of running recorded on the UpRace application, VNG company and sponsoring businesses commit to donating at least 1,000 VND to social organizations.
