    Argentine police have just busted a drug trafficking ring when they hid drugs in fake World Cup trophies.

    About 1.5kg were seized by the police inside these cups, along with 2 guns.

    It is known that after a period of monitoring, the Argentine police caught red-handed this drug trafficking ring. Six suspects were arrested in the sabotage of Isidro Casanova in La Matanza Partido, Greater Buenos Aires.

    According to a police spokesperson for Buenos Aires, the subjects took advantage of the soaring demand for souvenirs during the 2018 World Cup to transport drugs.

    The head of the Buenos Aires police force, Cristian Ritondo, said that they will soon bring the subjects to trial and detain them in prison.

    However, for the Argentines, this incident did not make them forget the 0-3 defeat of the national team against Croatia. On Tuesday, Argentina will meet Nigeria in the match that will decide their ticket to the next round.
