At Northwest Square, more than 1,500 athletes participated in the race with a distance of 5km for men and 3km for women.
A large number of officials, union members, youth and people attended the meeting, creating a vibrant atmosphere, spreading the message of drug prevention and control and building a safe and healthy community.
Mr. Lo Van Son, Trung Tam village, Chieng An ward, said: "Participating in the race not only helps improve health but is also an opportunity for each person to show responsibility to the community, say no to drugs and join hands to build a safe locality.
In Muong Coi commune, over 300 officials, soldiers, union members, youth, teachers, students and people participated in the rally and mass race on the 5km road.
The route runs from the commune People's Committee headquarters along National Highway 37 to the Nghia Hung intersection area. Activities are taking place sôi nổi, showing the determination of the entire political system and people in drug prevention and control work.
Mr. Dinh Duc Thang, Chairman of Muong Coi Commune People's Committee, said that the activity contributes to raising people's awareness of drug prevention and control. Thereby, mobilizing the joint efforts of the entire community to build a safe area without drugs.
