With the boxers carefully selected, the matches took place with high professional quality. In the Super Bantamweight weight class (122 lbs/ 55.34kg), Vietnam's top boxers participated. After 4 intense matches, 4 fighters including Dinh Van Lenh (MMA Saigon), Le Van Hien (HCMC), Luong Trung Nguyen (Hanoi) and Tran Van Vinh (Army) had tickets to continue. They will create two pairs of semi-finals, expected to take place in December 2024.
Also at the event on the evening of August 11, Lequan Wang (China) defeated his opponent Anuson Thonglueang (Thailand) to become the WBA Asia East Super Lightweight champion. At the same time, boxer Avzalbek Kuranbaev (Tajikistan) also successfully defended the WBA Asia Super Welterweight title against opponent Dacong Wang (China), closing the event with a balanced and thrilling match.
Representatives of WBA and WBA Asia and other delegates also praised the organization of this tournament. Through that, the tournament has affirmed the development potential of professional boxing in Vietnam in the eyes of the world's leading professional boxing management organizations.
