On the evening of September 21, Becamex HCMC suffered a 1-3 defeat to HCMC Police in round 4 of V.League 2025-2026. Notably, striker Nguyen Tien Linh scored very early, contributing significantly to the victory of Ho Chi Minh City Police.
Speaking after the match, coach Nguyen Anh Duc of Becamex HCMC admitted that the team had made efforts but could not stop Tien Linh from shining. "I have plans to counter Tien Linh, but he still scores. Tien Linh played well, not only in this match but also in the match against Hanoi, he chose the right time and scored," said coach Anh Duc.

On the other side of the front line, coach Le Huynh Duc of Ho Chi Minh City Police highly appreciated the competitive spirit of his students. He said: "The players' fighting spirit is very good, the attitude is like a warrior, some players play very enthusiastically. Solidarity helped the team win."
He especially mentioned Tien Linh's feelings when scoring against his former team: "Linh felt at home, I also returned to Binh Duong Stadium. I return to the place where I have contributed, but professional football, wherever I am, I will give my all to that place".
Despite winning, coach Le Huynh Duc still emphasized that the team still has a lot of work to do to maintain their form: "Good performance at the beginning of the season, competing in each match so we try harder. Today, we had a goal in the first half but didn't play well, then we took it back and played better. We have a lot of work to do."
In the next round, Ho Chi Minh City Police will visit Song Lam Nghe An Stadium on September 27. Meanwhile, Becamex HCMC will continue to play at home against Da Nang on September 27.
