On September 20, Project Management Board 7 (Ministry of Construction) said that it had completed the repair of eroded and frog- jamaged locations on the section km213 of Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway, through Ham Liem Commune, Lam Dong Province.
Also according to Project Management Board 7, the cause of the landslide on the slope and the opening of the frog's edge of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway at km23 has been initially determined.

After heavy rains with unusual rainfall, the maintenance unit checked the scene and discovered water stagnation on the roadside (the area with water embankment).
To drain the water, the unit broke a short section of the embankment, causing local erosion and creating an open jaw at the foot of the guardrail.
Project Management Board 7 then coordinated with the expressway management unit to reinforce locations at risk of landslides and frog jaw cavities by filling the soil and covering the erosion holes.
At the same time, the unit also reviewed and built a water barrier to lead the flow to the reinforced water collection location.

"We have rebuilt the embankments to prevent the incident from recurring," said Mr. Nguyen Khac Viet - Executive Director of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway Project (under the Project Management Board 7)
Project Management Board 7 affirmed that the expressway is being constructed according to the design, with water intake ditches every few dozen meters. There have been no incidents in the previous two years of exploitation, this time due to unusually heavy rain.
Previously, Lao Dong reported that at km213+750 and km213+850 of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, erosion occurred on the edge of the road.
Project Management Board 7 and the route management unit have temporarily reinforced and calculated a long-term plan. The State Inspection Council for Construction Acceptance has also arrived at the site.
