The tournament took place from September 19 to 21, marking the first year Sa Pa organized the event in the context of transforming the two-level local government model.
This year's tournament attracted more than 3,000 athletes from 47 countries, including nearly 2,000 athletes participating in super marathons from 50km to 100km.

According to the Organizing Committee, the coordination between management agencies and 4 localities with running routes including Sa Pa ward, Ta Van commune, Ban Ho commune and Lao Chai commune has contributed to ensuring the tournament is safe and successful.
This year, VMM marked an important milestone when it officially joined World Trail Majors, becoming the first trail running tournament in Vietnam in this system, affirming the tournament's international position and contributing to promoting the natural beauty and culture of Sa Pa to the world.

In addition to the competitions, the 2025 VMM Racing Village Fair held at the pants court has created a vibrant space for athletes and visitors.
The fair has 22 booths, including 3 charity booths, introducing thousands of products for running and sports such as shoes, clothes, water bottles, hats, scarves and specialized tools.

Regarding charity activities, Director of the award David Lloyd said that VMM 2025 continues to aim for humane goals. Since 2013, the race series organized by Topas Ecolodge has raised more than 3.5 billion VND (equivalent to 520,000 USD) for charity activities.
In 2025 alone, the Organizing Committee committed to allocating 50% of the contribution of athletes in a distance of 21km or more to support social security work in Sa Pa and localities with running roads. The remaining 50% will cooperate with Newborns Vietnam, Blue Dragon and the Vietnam smile Surgery Organization to purchase equipment to serve the care of Vietnamese newborns, support children wandering and families in difficult circumstances...

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded 10 first prizes, 10 second prizes and 10 third prizes to outstanding athletes in 5 distances: 10km, 21km, 50km, 70km and 100km.
In the 100km distance of the South: The first prize went to athlete Ngo Van Chinh with a time of 13:00 minutes and 10 seconds. In second place was athlete Nguyen Si Hieu with a time of 1:36 amenities and 29 seconds.
In the 100km distance for Women: The first prize went to athlete Wenfei Xie China with a time of 17.24 minutes 33 seconds, and the second prize went to athlete Nguyen Thi Tra Giang Vietnam with a time of 18.07 minutes 58 seconds...
