On June 1, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and the Vietnamese women's volleyball team continued training to prepare for the AVC Cup 2026 in Bac Ninh.
This year, the tournament will have 12 participating teams. We understand that Indonesia, Philippines or Kazakhstan teams will all have good preparation. Among them, the Korean team returns to participate in the tournament. This is a team with a level and will make teams wary. Therefore, we are cautious about expertise at AVC Cup 2026," coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet expressed.
However, Mr. Kiet and the coaching staff affirmed that the players of the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team will focus on doing their best at the AVC Cup 2026 and will strive to ensure maintaining the results achieved in previous years.
The Vietnamese women's volleyball team will participate in the AVC Cup 2026 as the defending champion. Real-world records at the training session on June 1st show that all members (14 players) have taken the field. Under the hot weather of the North, Vietnamese women's players are still training to ensure professional requirements.
According to the coaching staff's calculations, we will have to compete in the AVC Cup 2026 with matches in the morning. Thus, ensuring the best fitness must be the best. "We understand the changes in the competition time this year but will focus on winning results in each match," coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet added.
According to the plan, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will go to the Philippines on June 3. From June 6 to June 14, players will officially compete in the AVC Cup 2026. Currently, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has no injuries.
During the training process before going to the Philippines, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team focused on practicing tactics in the morning and strengthening physical strength in the afternoon.
