Opportunities for young Vietnamese martial artists to develop
On the afternoon of January 27, the International Boxing Federation (IBF, abbreviated as IBF) announced that it would organize the 41st Annual Conference at The Grand Ho Tram (Ho Tram commune, Ho Chi Minh City).
This is the first time this conference has been held in Southeast Asia, marking Vietnam's rise as a dynamic new center for international sports events.
The conference, scheduled to take place from August 24-2, will be an opportunity for Vietnamese martial artists and boxing enthusiasts to directly exchange, learn and be inspired by internationally influential figures, especially IBF champions.
Mr. Daryl Peoples - Chairman of IBF - said that the conference will gather IBF leaders, champions, managers and boxing officials from dozens of countries. Through this, discuss and make strategic decisions in competition, development orientations for global professional boxing. In which, there is a development and training roadmap in Asian countries, including Vietnam.
What young Vietnamese boxers need is international knowledge, skills, and experience. And the IBF has the ability to support these things," Mr. Daryl Peoples said.

Integration with international boxing
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Daryl Peoples said that he had wonderful experiences during his visits to Vietnam. Especially the boxing events in Vietnam today, which have been organized quite professionally from the organizing unit, referees and even fighters. Through this, IBF highly appreciates Vietnam's potential and development potential in the boxing field.
Therefore, IBF wishes to support and accompany Vietnamese boxing to become more and more developed. That is the overall development in many aspects, from organization to the level of boxers. Thereby, improving professional capacity, accessing regional and international playgrounds; aiming for Vietnam to become a destination for boxing in the world. This is also the reason IBF chose Vietnam as the annual event venue this year.
For Mr. Daryl Peoples, boxing, in addition to training and physical development, is also a sport that has the ability to bring unexpected opportunities for young boxers. With their skills, young boxers, whether professional or amateur, can participate in tournaments and Olympics; thereby becoming a representative face of the nation, adventuring to new lands to compete with boxers around the world.
According to Mr. Daryl Peoples, in Vietnam today, there are quite a few boxing training institutions. However, the coaching staff is mostly amateur.
IBF does not train boxers, but will support training for coaches. Vietnam's coaching staff will become more professional when trained by people who have created world boxing names. Accompanying Vietnam is not just empty words but will be determined to implement," the IBF President emphasized.
