According to international media, a 39-year-old man was stabbed in the neck with a knife during a fight in front of the Gesundbrunnen train station.
The police tried to provide emergency care to the victim, but he did not survive at the hospital due to excessive blood loss. The person killed was identified as Russian fighter Abu Yusupov.
The attack took place last week at Hanne-Sobek-Platz - a square in front of the Gesundbrunnen train station. Abu Yusupov went out with two friends and suddenly had a dispute with a group of 3 other men.
The former Russian boxing champion intervened and knocked the two men down. The third person in the group used a knife to stab Abu Yusupov in the neck from the back, severing the aorta and the collar artery.
The media reported that the perpetrator had fled and was likely to have traveled by train. Currently, the authorities are searching for the murder weapon and the suspect's whereabouts through videos recorded from the train station and witnesses.
