HOÀNG HUÊ |

The Information Corps suffered its second consecutive loss in the second phase of the 2024 National Volleyball Championship after losing to VTV Binh Dien Long An on November 8.

Hanoi - Long Son Thanh Hoa Cement

The earliest match on November 8 of the second phase of the 2024 National Volleyball Championship was the match between Hanoi and Long Son Thanh Hoa Cement. Although they were rated higher, the Thanh team unexpectedly lost 24-26 in set 1. They played aggressively, continuously leading with the excellence of young striker Bui Thi Anh Thao and won the first set.

However, that was all the Hanoi women's team could do. The same situation was maintained in set 2, but Thanh Hoa was the team that took advantage of the opportunity to win 26-24. In set 3, Hanoi could no longer maintain the smoothness in the coordination. The team's blockers could not prevent Doan Thi Xuan or Liu Yanhan from Thanh Hoa from scoring. Set 3 ended with a 25-12 victory for Thanh Hoa.

Continuing the momentum, Thanh Hoa took the upper hand, easily creating a gap and continuously creating a safe distance from Hanoi. Doan Thi Xuan and her teammates continued to win 25-19 in set 3, thereby defeating Hanoi with a final score of 3-1.

Vietinbank - Geleximco Thai Binh

VietinBank and Geleximco Thai Binh are currently in the bottom half of the rankings, so both teams aim to achieve the best results in each match. In set 1, Thai Binh showed dominance in all aspects, especially with the brilliance of Nguyen Thi Uyen and foreign player Svetlana. Meanwhile, VietinBank's defense played disjointedly and lacked connection. Set 1 was won by Thai Binh with a score of 25-19.

The game suddenly turned around in set 2 when VietinBank started to organize more effective attacks. The excellence of setter Thu Hoai helped the Banking team win 25-11 in set 2 to tie the score at 1-1.

VTV Binh Dien Long An - Information Corps

The match between VTV Binh Dien Long An - Information Corps is one of the most notable matches of the group stage of phase 2 of the 2024 National Volleyball Championship.

An exciting match was created by both teams right from the first points in set 1. Although the Information Corps was the team with the advantage of leading, the brilliance of Tra My, Nhu Anh and Joyce Agbolossou helped the Western team win 25-23 in the opening set.

It seemed like the 5-set scenario would continue, but in set 4, VTV Binh Dien Long An was the better team. Tra My and Ngoc Hoa contributed many important points, helping the Western team win 25-20, thereby defeating the Information Corps with a final score of 3-1.
