The 2025 Asian Women's Beach Volleyball Tournament is organized by the Asian Volleyball Federation in coordination with the People's Committee of Phu Yen province and Cua May Joint Stock Company. This is the first time Phu Yen has hosted a regional tournament, marking a new step forward in linking sports with promoting the image of local tourism.

This year's tournament brings together 44 athletes from 22 teams from 10 countries and territories, including: Vietnam, Australia, Japan, Thailand, China, Malaysia, New Zealand, Kazakhstan, Vanuatu and Hong Kong (China).
In which, host Vietnam will participate with 4 teams, including 8 core athletes of the national team. The tournament is an opportunity for athletes to compete, rub shoulders in an international environment and enhance the position of Vietnamese beach volleyball on the regional sports map.
The teams are divided into 8 groups, competing in a round-robin to score points. The first and second-placed teams in each group will enter the round of 16, continuing to compete in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.
Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh - Head of the Beach Volleyball Department (Vietnam Volleyball Federation) - said that the Asian Women's Beach Volleyball Championship is one of the 6 official tournaments in the competition system of the Asian Volleyball Federation in 2025. Compared to the tournament held in Can Tho in 2019, this year's tournament recorded growth in both the number of participating teams (increased by 4 teams) and professional quality.

Mr. Le Hoang Phu - Deputy Director of Phu Yen Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - emphasized that the tournament is an opportunity to introduce the image of Phu Yen to international friends through the media, while creating opportunities for athletes to explore the province's attractive tourist destinations.
On the opening day, athlete Georgia Johnson (Australia) excitedly expressed: "I am very happy to compete in Vietnam. The people here are friendly, hospitable and cheerful. The sea scenery of Phu Yen is truly beautiful, creating an extremely vibrant competition atmosphere. I will try my best to achieve high results".
