ASICS has announced the results of the athletes participating in the ASICS META: Time: Trials Southeast Asia.
Muhammad Ikbolasen from Malaysia won the 10kmElite Men category, with a time of 31.1. Goh Chui Ling from Singapore won the 10kmElite Women category with a time of 39:15.
The Athletics Association of Thailand (AAT) confirmed that a total of 28 professional athletes and more than 200 participants have gathered to participate in ASICS META: Time : Southeast Asian Trials in Bangkok, Thailand. Athletes have tried their best to beat their Personal Best/PB on the 10km race.
The starting point of the race takes place at Stadium One Stadium. After that, participants must conquer 4 districts of Bant one, Rama 4, Phayathai and Rama 1.
Despite the humid racetrack conditions, 3 athletes Lam Quang Nhat, Muhammad Ikbolasen, and Tahira Najmunissa in the professional categories (Elite) have broken through, setting a new record for their individual achievements.
In particular, this is Muhammad Ikbolasen's first trip outside Malaysia to achieve the championship title and best individual achievement. The athlete's personal record was shortened by 1 minute and 7 seconds.
He, along with Subas Gurung from Nepal and Nicholas Impey from the UK, stood on the podium, honoring the top 3 in the Elite Men category.
In the 10km race of the Elite Women category, the Bronze Medalist of the Southeast Asian Games, Goh Chui Ling, won the championship. Meanwhile, Woraphan Nuansri (Thailand) and Noor Amelia Musa (Malaysia) are second and third respectively.
In the 2 categories of the Movement (Mass participants), 3 Kenyan athletes dominated with impressive speed along with 3 Thai athletes, and went on the podium to receive the award.
