The Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) has recently officially announced its plan to organize the tournament system for the 2026 season.
This competition schedule received great attention from Vietnamese fans, because many important tournaments have the participation of domestic teams and clubs.
According to AVC, the 2026 season will kick off with the Asian Club Championship.
In particular, AVC Women's Champions League took place from April 26-30 in Goyang city (Korea), with the participation of VTV Binh Dien Long An - the current national champion.
This is a playground that gathers the top women's teams in the continent, and is also an opportunity for clubs to affirm their position and accumulate international competition experience.
Immediately after that, AVC Men's Champions League will be held from May 13-17 in Pontianak (Indonesia), possibly with the participation of the Vietnam men's volleyball team (using another name).
In June, the AVC Women's Nation Cup will take place from June 6-14 in Candon (Philippines). This tournament will have the competition of the Vietnam women's volleyball team as the defending champion.
Meanwhile, AVC Men's Nation Cup will be held from June 20-28 in Ahmedabad (India).
These are national team tournaments, which are important in accumulating points, reviewing forces and preparing for the long-term goals of national teams.
The end of the 2026 season will witness the two most important continental championships. AVC Volleyball Women's Continental Championship takes place from August 21-30 in Tianjin (China), followed by AVC Volleyball Men's Continental Championship from September 4-13 in Fukuoka (Japan).
These two tournaments are considered the pinnacle of Asian volleyball in the year, gathering the strongest teams and directly affecting the position of each volleyball nation on the regional map.
