This is the second leg in the PPA Tour Asia system this season. Competing players compete for a total prize fund of 50,000 USD along with accumulated points in the regional standings.
Right on the first day of competition (May 13), the tournament will have 1/32 round matches in men's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. Meanwhile, women's singles starts from May 14 with matches in the 1/16 round.
According to the schedule, men's singles matches start from 2:00 PM (Vietnam time). Women's doubles takes place from 3:00 PM, followed by men's doubles at 4:00 PM and mixed doubles from 5:00 PM.
Notably on the opening day was the appearance of Vietnamese representatives. In the mixed doubles event, Truong Vinh Hien - Sophia Nhi Huynh will face the pair Athilla Miasara - Syabil Shah in the 1/32 round. If they win, Vinh Hien and Sophia are likely to meet No. 1 seed Alix Truong - Tama Shimabukuro in the next round.
In the men's doubles, the matches Colin Wong - Marco Leung and Wil Shaffer - Julian Chow will determine the opponents of Truong Vinh Hien - Trinh Linh Giang in the round of 1/16.
Besides the doubles event, the two Vietnamese players also received attention in the men's singles event.
Truong Vinh Hien is seeded No. 1, while Trinh Linh Giang is seeded No. 5. This is considered an opportunity for Vietnamese players to accumulate more points and compete for a position on the PPA Tour Asia 2026 rankings.
