The regulations for pickleball at the X-2026 National Sports Games have been officially issued and sent to units nationwide.
Accordingly, the pickleball event of the Congress will be held from November 23rd to November 29th in Ho Chi Minh City. Pickleball will compete in 5 official events: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles.
The regulations for pickleball at the X-2026 National Sports Games do not require athletes to determine professional qualifications in the registration form. However, participating athletes must be 12 years of age or older.
The regulations require athletes to register for valid competition if they comply with the regulations: "An athlete is entitled to register for competition for the locality or sector when there are one of the following conditions: Having a contract to use athletes or a legal contract to transfer athletes signed before January 1, 2026 (1 notarized copy of this Contract must be sent together with the Official Registration to the Organizing Committee of the Congress).
For sports for which the Federation and National Sports Association have issued Transfer Regulations, implement them according to the Athlete Transfer Regulations;
Having a certificate of being an athlete of the industry issued by the Military Training-School Department, General Staff Department, Ministry of National Defense or the Political Work Department, Ministry of Public Security".
This is the first time pickleball has been held at the X-2026 National Sports Games. The regulations stipulate September 1st as the deadline for registering the official list of delegations.
Professional regulations for pickleball at the X-2026 National Sports Games state: "If the number of teams registered to participate in the tournament in each event is from 16 singles players, 16 pairs of players or less, the Organizing Committee will apply the round-robin format.
If there are 4 groups, first and second place will be taken to cross-match; 3 groups will take 3 first-placed teams and 1 second-placed team with the highest points; 2 groups will take the first-placed team with the second place to cross-match semi-finals. From 17 teams or more will compete in direct elimination.
Contents are only organized when there are enough 4 athletes or 4 pairs of athletes;
Each match takes place in 3 rounds of 11 points, the athlete/team that wins the previous 2 rounds is the winner.
In each round, if the score is 10-10, the athlete/team that wins with a difference of 2 points will win, competing until the final point is 15, in the 3rd round, 6 points change field".
