According to the disciplinary list announced by Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF), many players will not be able to play in round 3 of V.League 2026-2027 due to receiving red cards or receiving penalties from previous rounds.
The most notable is the case of Doan Van Hau. The defender of Hanoi Police was suspended from playing for 4 matches and fined 20 million VND according to Disciplinary Decision No. 931, after a rough foul on Doan Ngoc Tan.
The penalty caused Doan Van Hau to continue to be absent from the match of round 3. This is a notable shortage for Hanoi Police in the early stages of the season.
Nam Dinh also suffered losses in force when Van Kien and Ezequiel Santos Da Silva were not registered to play in round 3.
These two players both received red cards in the match Nam Dinh lost to Da Nang in round 2. Ezequiel Santos Da Silva was suspended for 3 matches and fined 15 million VND for stepping on an opposing player.
Besides the above cases, Nham Manh Dung of The Cong Viettel and Jovic Filip of Dong Nai are also on the list of players suspended in the 3rd round.
The fact that many players are suspended forces teams to have personnel adjustment plans, especially for clubs that are directly affected in the defense and midfield.
Round 3 of V.League 2026-2027 will continue to take place in the coming days, with notable competition in the top group as well as the point accumulation race of teams after the first two rounds.
