According to the announcement from the tournament organizing committee, foreign player Tamyrik Fields of Hanoi Buffaloes club will be banned from playing in the match on May 30 at VBA 2025 for "fighting".
In the match between Hanoi Buffaloes and Danang Dragons on May 26, Tamyrik Fields had a cool catch with a player from Danang Dragons.
This was a rather closed-sided situation but could not get past the referees and slow camera angles of the studio.
After the penalty, the Hanoi Buffaloes club said that the team also had internal discipline with Tamyrik Fields.
"Regarding the unfortunate incident that occurred in the match on May 26, the club affirmed that it would not tolerate any unsportsmanlike behavior, regardless of who it comes from.
Player Tamyrik Fields apologized directly to the Danang Dragons player right after the match. The club has applied internal disciplinary action against Tamyrik Fields. We are committed to maintaining the sportsmanship, disciplined values and pride of Hanoi," Hanoi Buffaloes announced.
