The Vietnam Department of Sports and Physical Training and the Vietnam Cycling - Motorcycle Sports Federation have sent the Women's Road Cycling Team (including Nguyen Thi That) to participate in the Tour of Thailand 2026.
The tournament started on March 31st, local time in Thailand. Cyclists will compete with routes in stages lasting until the end of April 2nd.
Right in the first leg of the 2026 Tour of Thailand, Nguyen Thi That finished 3rd in the stage. Currently, the Vietnamese cyclist is temporarily ranked 3rd in the overall individual medal standings for the Yellow Jersey.
The Vietnamese women's road cycling team competing in Thailand includes Nguyen Thi That, Nguyen Thi Thi, Nguyen Thi Thu Mai, Lam Thi Kim Ngan and Lam Thi Thuy Duong. According to professional preparation, this is one of the tournaments for Nguyen Thi That and her teammates to prepare for ASIAD 20. The Vietnamese women's road cycling team is expected to participate in this year's Games in September in Japan.
In addition to the Vietnam Road Cycling Team, we have the Dong Thap women's cycling team also participating in the Tour of Thailand 2026 with the following faces: Nguyen Thi Be Hong, Quach Thi Phuong Thanh, Nguyen Thi Nhu Liem, Lam Thi Ngoc Linh.
This year, Nguyen Thi That and Vietnamese female cyclists are professionally prepared with a number of international tournaments to accumulate experience in order to achieve their best form before ASIAD 20.
