The coaching staff of the Vietnamese athletics team sent 7 players to China for training, including Bui Thi Kim Anh.
The players have started training in China and will return home in mid-April. Bui Thi Kim Anh won a gold medal in women's high jump at SEA Games 33 with a result of 1m86.
The female athlete is one of the key athletes of Vietnamese athletics this year.
The Vietnamese athletics team will participate in ASIAD 20 in September in Japan. If nothing changes, we will register to compete in the women's high jump event. Bui Thi Kim Anh is one of the athletes who are being professionally prepared towards ASIAD 20.
After SEA Games 33, Bui Thi Kim Anh participated in the 2026 Asian Indoor Athletics Championships in February this year. She only achieved a result of 1m75, without winning a medal. The coaching staff of the Vietnamese athletics team said that Kim Anh will improve her performance from the training process in China at this time.
In the current training camp in China, the high jump event of the Vietnamese athletics team also includes Duong Thi Thao.
This female athlete has participated in SEA Games 33 and the 2026 Asian Indoor Athletics Championships. At the 2026 Asian Indoor Athletics Championships, Duong Thi Thao achieved a result of 1m75. She is the defending national champion in the day event.
