The group stage of the 2025 National A-Class Volleyball Tournament took place from April 6 to April 19 in Kon Tum, attracting the attention of many fans.
One of the bright spots of the tournament group stage is the organization. The Vietnam Volleyball Federation has closely coordinated with the host locality of Kon Tum to ensure both professional work and focus on the experience of the audience, from facilities to logistics services.
The enthusiastic cheers from the audience in the stands showed that the A-class tournament still creates its own appeal. This contributes to creating a vibrant and emotional atmosphere in each match.
In terms of expertise, this year's group stage will gather 28 competing teams including 15 men's teams and 13 women's teams. With the participation of many teams, especially young and promising players, this year's tournament brought memorable impressions right from the beginning.
One of the biggest highlights is the stable performance of teams that have just been relegated from the national championship last season such as Ha Tinh (men) and Quang Ninh (women). Having just said goodbye to the highest level of Vietnamese volleyball, the above teams have convincingly demonstrated their mettle and class.
With a balanced force and reasonable tactics, Ha Tinh team overcame many strong opponents to finish 2nd in Group A (men). Leading this group is Tra Vinh with 4 wins. They have an excellent opposite setter, Nguyen Van Quoc Duy, in the squad, so this result is completely understandable.
Meanwhile, the Mobile Police Command was a team that played very well, with 3 wins and 1 loss to lead Group B (men).
In the women's event, the Quang Ninh team also showed their excellence when having a team that has played in the national championship for many years, including the main striker Vi Thi Nhu Quynh. Nhu Quynh shined to help the team win all 6 matches, leading Group D (women). This shows that Quang Ninh is nurturing ambition to return to the national championship early.
Not only did the "big guys" relegated attract attention, this year's tournament also recorded the explosion of young athletes, especially the faces of the U21 group. Faces such as Quynh Huong (Tre Thong Tin - Dong Bac), Dang Thi Hong (Thai Nguyen), Anh Thao (Hanoi) ... left a strong impression with their technical, confident and brave playing style.
In particular, the two teams of Tre Thong Tin - Dong Bac and Tre VTV Binh Dien Long An have proven that these are two leading youth volleyball training centers in Vietnam when the faces on both teams stand out from the players of the same age.
It is their outstanding performance that has brought a new wind to the tournament, and is a positive signal for the future of Vietnamese volleyball. The group stage of the National Grade A 2025 in Kon Tum has ended with finding the 16 best clubs to participate in the final round.
Fans are expecting that the final round scheduled to take place in Quang Tri from October 23 to November 2 will be explosive and quality to find the owner of the ticket to play in the national championship next season.
