At AVC Nations Cup 2025, the Vietnam women's volleyball team won a ticket to the semi-finals 1 match early. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team won all three matches and certainly continued as the top team in Group A.
The first three matches of the Vietnam women's volleyball team not only brought positive results but also marked the impressive return of middle blocker Tran Thi Bich Thuy.
The player born in 2000 contributed to a solid playing style in the midfield and affirmed his progress after competing in Korea for GS Caltex club.
Previously, at the Korean National Volleyball Championship - an environment with top discipline and professional quality in Asia, Bich Thuy made a strong impression, and was assessed to have a successful trip abroad.
Returning to Vietnam, she brought a lot of new experience and skills. This has helped the hitter of the Duc Giang Chemicals team gain the trust of head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet.
Bich Thuy was on the list of players with the Vietnam women's volleyball team, then named to participate in the AVC Nations Cup 2025 at home.

Although not yet a key factor in coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's tactical system, what Bich Thuy has shown shows maturity in both expertise and competitive attitude.
"From 2023 and 2024, Bich Thuy's attack has been quite good. However, this player needs to integrate more into the team's playing style because the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is playing more coordinated in the 3rd and 4th regions.
After returning to Korea, everyone saw that Bich Thuy's professionalism and adherence to the shield had improved. In the coming time, Bich Thuy still needs to practice to improve herself", Mr. Nguyen Tuan Kiet shared.
It can be seen that the time playing abroad is not long but enough to help Bich Thuy learn how to participate in organizing tactics systematically, practice mobility and improve tactical vision, especially in blocking situations.
This is demonstrated through high, solid blocking situations, and Bich Thuy's ability to coordinate more flexibly with setter and wingers in recent matches.
Confidence and a progressive spirit are things that Bich Thuy has clearly changed, proving in the past time. If she continues her current form and improves her skills, she will have the opportunity to be on the list of participants in the next important tournaments with the Vietnam women's volleyball team such as VTV Cup 2025, World Championship 2025, SEA Games 33...
The Vietnam women's volleyball team will meet Australia in the final match of the group stage, taking place at 8:00 p.m. today (June 12).
