The Cong Viettel and PVF are the 2 candidates for the top spot in Group B. It was not beyond prediction, the quality of the The Cong Viettel and PVF squads were both high, so the two teams created a level playing situation.
In a balanced match, PVF scored the opening goal in the 70th minute. From a break into the penalty area, Ba Dat fell in the 16m50 round of The Cong Viettel in a dispute with goalkeeper Duc Duy.

In the 24th minute, Phi Hung caught a cross from outside the penalty area, sending the ball into a high corner, opening the score for Ho Chi Minh City. In the 37th minute, Phi Hung dribbled the ball on the right wing and overturned for Thanh Dat to jump high and head the ball to increase the score to 2-0.
Three minutes later, Thanh Dat shot into the Tay Ninh net again after a turn and shot into the dark corner of the goal. After that, U21 Tay Ninh scored a goal to reduce the score to 1-3 in the 45th minute thanks to Chi Trung.
In the 53rd minute, Ho Chi Minh City scored another goal thanks to Nguyen Long, before a player from Tay Ninh headed the ball into the net in the 64th minute to seal the score at 5-1 for Ho Chi Minh City.

In Group C, Hanoi continued to affirm their strength when defeating Dong Thap with a score of 3-0. In the 24th minute, Van Toan opened the victory for the capital team with an accurate shot into the goal.
Seven minutes later, Van Tuyen headed the ball up to 2-0 after a cross from his teammate. The 3-0 victory was sealed for Hanoi in the 81st minute with the same scenario and Anh Tuan was the author of this third goal.
In the remaining match, Hoang Anh Gia Lai I had no difficulty in overcoming Dak Lak with a score of 2-0.
