Nguyen Thuy Linh will go to Taiwan (China) to participate in the international badminton tournament held here from July 28 to August 2.
The badminton tournament in Taiwan (China) has the BWF World Tour Super 300 level of the world. Notably, Thuy Linh was chosen as the No. 6 seed.
This is one of the rare times Thuy Linh has been a seed at the BWF World Tour Super 300 level this year.
She was drawn to meet the host player Pai Yu Po in the first women's singles round.
Also in the tournament, Vietnamese badminton has Vu Thi Trang participating in the women's singles event.
However, Vu Thi Trang has to compete in preliminary rounds to find a place in the official round. Vu Thi Trang has just played a series of matches in Europe recently and achieved positive results, so she is very promising to have good results in Taiwan (China).
On the BWF world rankings, Nguyen Thuy Linh just dropped 1 place to rank 27th. She has left the top 25 in the world.
Thuy Linh competed in the 2026 Chinese Open badminton tournament but lost in the 2nd round of women's singles due to facing Southeast Asian No. 1 opponent Ratchanok Intanon (Thailand).
According to the plan, Nguyen Thuy Linh and Vu Thi Trang will participate in the 2026 World Championship held in India in August.
Therefore, the competition program in Taiwan (China) is an opportunity for each player to improve their performance before going to India to compete.
