Young tennis player Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen marked another important change when she rose to 296th place in the world women's singles.
In the rankings just announced by the International Badminton Federation BWF, Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen has increased by 34 places. As a result, this face rose to 296th place.
Thu Huyen is currently the female badminton player with the best expertise among the young faces of Vietnamese badminton.
Recently, Thu Huyen won the women's singles championship of the 2026 National Youth Badminton Championship. Currently, the Vietnam Badminton Federation will select Thu Huyen as a player to participate in the 2026 Youth Olympics held in Senegal.
In July, Thu Huyen will go to Japan to compete in the 2026 Asian Youth Championship. She is 1 of 5 Vietnamese players to be included in the tournament.
Vietnamese young badminton players registered to compete include Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen, Pham Thi Truc An (women), Nguyen Tat Duy Loi, Nguyen Dinh Dat, Lo Trieu Huy (men).
The 2026 Asian Youth Championship will compete in team events from June 26 to June 30. Then individual events will take place from July 1 to July 5.
The Vietnamese youth badminton team only registered to compete in individual events in this year's tournament.
Recently, Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen participated in the International Challenge 2026 international tournament in Thailand, but the tennis player did not achieve her best results and stopped early in the first match of the women's singles event.
