On the evening of December 7, in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, the final round of the Vietnam Martial Arts Tournament took place, with the focus being on 5 belt matches to find champions in each weight class.
The 5 best names in the 5 weight classes of the tournament are Le Huy Hoang - Cobra class (55kg), Luu Duc Manh - Golden Rooster class (57kg), Mui Trong Vinh - Eagle class (59kg), Nguyen Tien Long - Black Panther class (63kg) and Nguyen Trung Hai - Tiger class (68kg) respectively, taking turns to challenge the 5 champions who were granted special privileges from the previous season's Dragon Fight League 2023, including: Nguyen Hoang Thach, Bui Truong Sinh, Tran Trong Kim, Nguyen Vu Phuong Hoai and Ha The Anh.
In the final match of the Cobra weight class, Le Huy Hoang of PFC Phu Quoc faced Nguyen Hoang Thach of Lien Phong MMA. As soon as the match started, Nguyen Hoang Thach, with his inherent confidence, quickly put Le Huy Hoang in a passive position after overwhelming him with powerful and precise punches.
Although he improved his defense in the following rounds, Le Huy Hoang still had a lot of difficulty in dominating his opponent in this match, because he was dominated by Nguyen Hoang Thach for most of the match. In the end, the judges agreed with an absolute victory for Nguyen Hoang Thach of Lien Phong Martial Arts School and the Cobra weight championship belt.
In the second match, the Tiger weight class clash between Raptor MMA champion Ha The Anh and The Eagle Fight Team’s Nguyen Trung Hai. With his advantage in physique and height, Ha The Anh seized the opportunity, created distance and continuously launched powerful knee strikes.
When the first round had just passed 2 minutes, Ha The Anh took advantage of the opportunity to defeat Nguyen Trung Hai after a series of beautiful punches, to be crowned champion in the Tiger weight class. This is also the second belt in Ha The Anh's career in the past 2 years.
The remaining 3 matches were marked by extremely impressive victories from fighters with comprehensive skill sets. The Golden Rooster division welcomed champion Bui Truong Sinh of Lien Phong Martial Arts School after convincingly defeating Luu Duc Manh of No.1 Muay Club.
Another representative of No.1 Muay Club, Mui Trong Vinh, continued to leave a lasting impression on the audience when he defeated "Golden Lion King" Tran Trong Kim of PFC Phu Quoc in an uncompromising match.
Finally, in the Black Panther weight class, Nguyen Tien Long of Raptor MMA lost for the second consecutive time to Nguyen Vu Phuong Hoai of Lien Phong Martial Arts School, after both fighters had given 5 dramatic rounds.
Reviewing the entire tournament, martial artist Johnny Tri Nguyen - General Director of Than Vo Viet Nam emphasized: "GMA will strive to do better in every aspect to respond to the love of the audience and the fighting spirit of dedication of the martial artists. According to the expected competition schedule, GMA Than Vo Vietnam and GMA Than Vo International will be held alternately from April to November 2025. With GMA Than Vo Vietnam matches expected to be held in April, June, August, October respectively, while GMA Than Vo International is expected to be held in May, July, September, November.
