The Chinese sports delegation comes to ASIAD Aichi-Nagoya 2026 with 815 athletes, including 36 Olympic champions. This country aims to continue to top the medal standings, based on a strong force in many Olympic sports.
Table tennis, diving, gymnastics, weightlifting, shooting and badminton are still strong sports, expected by China to bring back a large number of gold medals. At the 2023 Hangzhou ASIAD, these 6 sports alone brought back a total of 51 gold medals for the Chinese delegation.
In the squad for this year's Games, there are many Olympic champions such as Sun Yingsha, Wang Manyu, Chen Yuxi, Wang Zongyuan, Zou Jingyuan, Sun Mengya and Li Wenwen.
