On the evening of September 13, the Department of Education and Training (GDĐT) of Quang Tri province said that it had issued a document requesting localities, schools and educational institutions to proactively respond to heavy rain, ensuring safety for students, teachers, management staff and staff.
According to the Department of Education and Training, Quang Tri area is experiencing heavy to very heavy rain, with thunderstorms in some places. Prolonged heavy rain is at risk of causing flooding, flash floods, landslides, traffic disruption, affecting the travel, study and daily life of students, teachers and officials and employees of the Education sector.
Before the weather diễn biến, the Director of the Department of Education and Training requested heads of units, schools, and educational institutions to strictly implement the contents on proactively responding to weather diễn biến, natural disasters and directives related to disaster prevention and control.
For areas at risk of flooding, flash floods, landslides; areas of streams, undercurrents in mountainous areas at risk of rising water levels, and unsafe travel for children, students and teachers, the Department of Education and Training requests the Chairmen of People's Committees of communes, wards, special zones and heads of units and schools directly under the Department to proactively consider allowing students to take leave from school to ensure safety.
The Department of Education and Training also requested to stop unnecessary meetings, conferences, and training sessions to focus on preventing, combating, and responding to floods.
Units, schools, and educational institutions are required to seriously implement response measures, ensuring absolute safety for the lives and health of students, teachers, management staff, and staff to the top.
