The 2024-2025 Golden Star Beer play-off match for the next V.League match between Da Nang and Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc will take place at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow (June 27) at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC).
Before this match, coach Le Duc Tuan and goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung of Da Nang club attended the press conference. Here, goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung said he was very excited to prepare to face striker Nguyen Cong Phuong on Binh Phuoc's side.
He said: "If I defeat Cong Phuong, it will not be my personal achievement or responsibility. I do not focus on joining Cong Phuong because football is a collective sport. Cong Phuong and I have had many opportunities to work together, so this match brings many special experiences. I am very excited for this match".
Regarding Da Nang not being allowed to use foreign players in the play-off match, Bui Tien Dung commented: "I trust my teammates, although many are quite young, they have shown their mettle. The current position of the team is the result of many efforts. If we continue to maintain that spirit, I believe the Da Nang team will do better."
Also on the issue of not using foreign players, coach Le Duc Tuan of Da Nang said that he believes in the team's players and tactics.
"When I came to lead Da Nang, I relied on the team playing style, while the foreign players were only a part of the support. There were times when many players were carded and injured, the team had to use 100% domestic players. However, they still play with a very good spirit, contributing to the overall play. We have overcome many difficulties, and the players are getting more mature. I have complete trust in them," coach Le Duc Tuan shared.
Not only Cong Phuong or the top scorer of the 2024-2025 First Division Luu Tu Nhan, coach Le Duc Tuan said that Binh Phuoc still has many other players that need to be cautious.
He said: "Every match we analyze the opponent as their strengths, playing style, and good players. Not only Cong Phuong or Tu Nhan, Binh Phuoc, but also Manh Hung, Sam Ngoc Duc and Tan Truong. These are experienced people, especially Tan Truong, whom I understand very well".
According to the regulations, if after 90 minutes the two teams draw, they will play alternately. Not only Da Nang, but also Binh Phuoc has prepared. This is the last and most important match of the season.
"Every match for us is a final, we have to win to stay. Each plan is carefully prepared, ready for tomorrow's match. I think the chance is 50-50. The team that is more hungry will be the winning team," coach Le Duc Tuan added.
