Prime Minister awards Certificate of Merit to U22 Vietnam coaching staff

4 members of the U22 Vietnam coaching staff were awarded Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister after their achievement of winning a gold medal at SEA Games 33.

On May 3, 2026, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra signed and issued Decision No. 780/QD-TTg on awarding Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to individuals with outstanding achievements in training the Vietnam U22 men's football team.

According to the decision, the 4 individuals awarded Certificates of Merit are members of the coaching staff of the Vietnam U22 team, who have made important contributions in directing and training the team to compete successfully and win Gold Medals at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 33) held in Thailand in 2025.

Specifically, the individuals commended include: Mr. Kim Sang Sik - head coach; assistant coaches including Mr. Yoon Dong Hun, Mr. Lee Jung-soo and Mr. Lee Woon-jae, all of Korean nationality.

The decision was issued based on the 2025 Law on Organization of the Government, the 2022 Law on Emulation and Commendation, and related regulations on decentralization and delegation of power in the field of emulation and commendation.

The commendation aims to recognize the outstanding contributions of the coaching staff in the achievements of Vietnamese football in the regional arena, and at the same time continue to encourage and motivate training and development of high-performance sports in the coming time.
